Let’s face it, selling a home is often an emotional journey and at first glance, the task of preparing a home for the market can seem overwhelming. I understand.

All too often, I meet incredible people who have a desire to move but simply don’t know where they would go next. Sometimes these folks are seeking a move out of necessity. Other times, they’re looking to downsize OR upsize for a variety of reasons. In fact, there are countless reasons as to why someone may want to sell their home or investment.

When you’re not sure where to begin, that’s where I come in.

As a Real Estate Agent, spending time with folks before they’re actually ready to move is a big part of our job. It’s by no means a “waste of our time”.

In fact, it’s important that we spend time getting to know one another, so that I can better understand what is most important to you and your family.

Together, through a process that I like to call Education by Exploration, I can often help identify options that you may have not even known you had. As well, we can often uncover and address any unique considerations, that may require some additional attention, to help you achieve your goals or boost your sale price.

Now, depending on what you’re trying to accomplish with your sale (or as I like to call it your big WHY?), there are many considerations to explore - beyond just the market value of your home.

An example of a noteworthy consideration would be: if you’re looking to move out of the city, or out of the GTA, or even out of the Province, it’s important to understand the market where you’re headed.

“Why?”

Because this consideration often raises a very important question, do you Buy First, or Sell First and what does each scenario look like for you?

Obviously an Investor who is looking to offload a property, certainly wouldn’t be worried about such considerations. In their scenario perhaps a valuable consideration would be where could smart money be spent, to boost a sale price?

As you can now tell, every seller’s situation is unique.
